Minneapolis Families for Daycare Workers is a rolling mutual aid hub that spotlights different care centers and their specific needs.
Spotlight: Rent Support + Mental Health/ Living Expenses for Daycare Workers in South and Central Minneapolis
We are currently collecting funds for two different daycares: one South Minneapolis daycare is looking for rent support for workers who have become the sole income in their families. Another daycare in Central Minneapolis is raising money for mental health and living expenses for their workers. Please join us in supporting them!
Everyday the people who love and care for our children are at ongoing risk as ICE continues to terrorize our communities.
We at Minneapolis Families for Daycare Workers focus our support on the emergent needs of Minneapolis daycares or other caregiving spaces that are being impacted by the current invasion.
Our fundraisers and mutual aid campaigns support transportation, groceries, rent support, and other needs for our beloved caregivers.
We prioritize small, less visible daycares, using targeted campaigns built around specific goals. All funds go directly to caregivers.

2/6/26: Rent Support for Workers at 3 South Minneapolis Daycares – CAMPAIGN PAUSED.
Thank you, community! We have paused this rent support drive in order to open a new campaign to support daycare workers with emergent need. We are so pleased that we were able to provide significant rent support for workers at three different daycares in South Minneapolis. Thank you to everyone who has contributed!

1/25/26: South Minneapolis Daycare Workers in need of Rent, Transportation, and Groceries – CAMPAIGN COMPLETE!
Thank you to all of the contributors! We exceeded our goal in ONE day for our second campaign! Your support is incredible and allows us to launch our third campaign ahead of schedule!
1/16/26: South Minneapolis Daycares in need of Transportation Funds – CAMPAIGN COMPLETE!
We have exceeded our $5000 goal for our first campaign! Thank you to everyone who contributed! We collected transportation funds for two different South Minneapolis daycares. Public transportation is no longer a safe option for vulnerable community members. Donations helped keep these daycares staffed and open and helped support at least three more weeks of increased safety of our beloved childcare workers. We are so grateful.
